Capturing a Launch That Spanned a Nation
After seeing the work we did with TVS and Team Throttlerz—especially how we handled high-intensity stunt performances with precision and safety—Hero MotoCorp Sri Lanka approached us with a challenge.
They were launching the Hero Xtreme series in Sri Lanka and planned a 10-day roadshow starting with the Colombo Motor Show and continuing across the country. Their goal was to present Hero Xtreme as a powerful, dynamic bike for the new generation.
But they didn’t just want documentation—they needed storytelling, energy, and scale.
Just Document the Stunts
Hero’s original brief was straightforward. Capture the essence of the 10-day campaign—covering the entire event flow, including performances, audiences, and travel—from Colombo to the coasts.
It was meant to be a documentation project. One team. One long campaign. Get everything on tape.
We Suggested Something More
We saw potential to do more than just record what was happening. Our pitch was simple:
Let’s edit this in a way that social media can’t ignore.
We suggested crafting a high-energy highlight film—edited to bring out the excitement, the crowds, and the performance power of Hero Xtreme. We told them, “Let the live event spark interest, and let the online video multiply that.” They agreed.
How We Pulled It Off
We set up two cameras at every location. One was focused on the audience, the other on the performers—and we kept switching between them to capture reactions, energy, and movement.
We shot B-rolls of the towns, coastal roads, beach stretches, and the natural beauty of Sri Lanka, all under scorching sunlight and humid weather conditions. Despite the challenges, we coordinated smoothly with the Throttlerz team and pulled off stunts that looked stunning on screen.
Way Beyond Expectations
The final result was more than just a recap video—it became a brand asset.
The video brought energy and visibility to the Hero Xtreme launch across Sri Lanka. The response was massive. Hero reported more interest and inquiries than they had anticipated. They were so pleased with the outcome that they returned for another campaign the following year.
BEYOND PARTNERSHIP
The People Made It Worth It
This wasn’t an easy project. It was hot and physically draining, and the travel schedule was tight. But what pushed us through was Hero Sri Lanka’s incredible hospitality. Their respect for our craft and their trust in our process gave us the energy to go all in.
And in the end, it showed—in the footage, in the edit, and in the results.
